Fasag

This is the old house at Fasag where Donald MacDonald the Carrier lived his early years. You can see a gable there with a fireplace and a chimney-head there. Otherwise there's not much left, a few stones. It's 100 years since he lived here. Now round about there's yew trees, there's a yew tree there, holly trees, and these tall cypress trees similar to what we have at the pier. The croft field is still there. He may have had the fields across the road as well. A lovely spot anyway. I saw the house with a roof on it in the 30s, but it was derelict then.
